Fan install complete

Well my taurus fan thread got moved, I suppose because we were talking about wiring which is not specific to our trucks. But now that the fan is finally installed I think it is more pertinent to start a thread here to discuss the benefits of having the fan. As of yet I haven't gotten much a chance to drive it, but last night I took it for a spin and it seemed like a WHOLE new truck. I only juiced it 1 time but when I did it GOT UP AND WENT!! My brother seemed to have trouble keeping up with me in my mom's Lexus sedan. So far I'm pretty satisfied.

I am a bit worried, though, because I shot my water pump housing with a temp gun after idling the truck up in the driveway, and the temp of the case steadily rose 199,200,201,202... even with the low speed on. I kicked her on high speed and the temp incline slowed down a lot, I turned it off at that point... I've currently got the thermo switch set to come on around 170-180*, its hard to get it exact. Is this a good setting?

And of course the question you all have on your mind, HOW 'BOUT SOME PICTURES!? I know my wiring leaves something to be desired aesthetically, but it works, so I'm happy. I used as much wire loom as I could to at least make it TOLERABLE. Enjoy.

Thanks for all your help with this install guys. Special thanks to netscaner aka Andy, thanks buddy.

ON EDIT: I made another thread about how I drilled into the blank fuel selector switch plate and I hit electrical prongs. So I need more ideas about where to put the switch. Let me know.

Looks good Chris. How did you mount it to the radiator? I used flat stock and some bolts when I had mine on. Might want to put some plastic loom covering over those wires to protect them man....

Used an electric fan mounting kit from Kragen. It's just a set of long plastic things with notches; you slide the long part through the radiator fins and slide a plastic plate over the other end of it and it cinches up and holds, works the same way as a zip tie.
