noisy ac pump
i have a noisy ac pump on a 2004 f150 5.4l. was wondering if you could take it off without loosing all the stuff out of it,or maybe just take the pulley off. i cant really find much on here about it.anyone else had this problem

I guess you mean the compressor? You really cant take it off because you need that pulley in place to make the proper path for the serpentine belt.
Is it noisy even when the air conditioning is off? That probably means something in the compressor clutch is bad.

yes the ac compressor is what i meant,i was thinking maybe just change the pulley,i went in a bit of mud last weekend couple days later the compressor got really loud , now its just loud when the ac is off and its free spinning,maybe just some dirt in there hope it dosent get worse
