mystery wire
i have a f250 ext cab 2005 6.0. i am in the process of installing a system and just wanted some advice as far as tips tricks or whatevr may help. one ? i have was i took off my back seat and behind the seat on passengers side there is a little plug with 2 wires mounted rightin corner, what is this for and what can i use this for if i can to make things easier. thanks for all yalls help.

the wires are purple with stripes of black and green, they have like a plug at the end with 2 prongs in the plug. it looks like you can plug something in to it, thats what i want to no if its a live wire , then maybe i can use to hook up and amp to it. i am just trying to find and easy way of hooking up my amp, thanks

Do you have a volt meter to check for current. I'd check it with the key off and key on to see if you have any power. Then you just need to figure out what it's for in case you blow a fuse. Don't forget to check and make sure the wire is a thick enough gauge to handle the amperage you are going to be pulling.
