tonights work!

This has been a long and hard path to take. Complete floor replacement from rocker to rocker and fire wall to right before the back lip behind the seat. Look at my gallery for more. Little by little i will get there. I put up the front cab corner to see how everything fit before i go to fare ahead. So fare so good. RT

looks good, also looks like alot of quality work.........

my cab isn't in very good shape, i don't even like to think about the panel replacements/fabrications i might be doing.

sorry to ask, but;
if you had it to do over, would you spend the money to buy a better cab?

i'm going to have to modify the floor board and firewall quite a bit, and i figure it would be a waste of a original cab to chop all up.

I would do it again, its only time spent getting better at it. Practice makes perfect. I did all this work by my self. I really dont have much help when it comes to the truck. Friday and sat nights are my time to work on the truck. The only thing i can say is to measure and measure check the numbers tack and check and use you imagination. plus it helps to have lots of tools as well. My new plasma cutter made quick work of cutting. I just need to get some primer for the inside of the panels before welding. Plus there are many members here that have helped me out with advice. Plus its nice to so off what you have done and its nice to see people like you that tell me it looks good. Thanks and good luck. RT

Beautiful work. BTDT, but your job is a lot more extensive than mine was.

Havi,

You may ask and i shall tell. If you look in my gallery you will see the whole section i bought for 200.00 @ all ford carlise pa about 3yrs ago. i sent it to be blasted and epoxy primered it when it came back. i was going to use it on the other cab i had blasted and primered but it needed more work. i mean this was alot of work but its just the bottom half. the other cab had a dent in th roof back wall some other PO tried to work the cab i think it was (Mr Weldem). So i bought another truck and drove it around and took the cab off and thats the cab im working on. I hope to have it done in a few weeks and on its new frame. RT
