Will It Be Reliable?

Im looking at an 2001 Quad Cab Dualy with 174,000. The truck has obvise signs of being worked hard. Its missing the tail gate witch leads me to beleve it towed atlast a fithwheel. There is also a hitch on the front. So like I said it was obviously a work truck. Its at a dealer an there asking 14900. So what I want to know is it gona be reliabe or is it gona start running into problems as soon as I get It home. Thanks In Advanse

At that price and what you describe, I would look for another one. It also depends on where you are at.

Have you checked the truck buyer FAQ guide thread?

I bought my '01 F-250 CC/SB 4x4 with 115,000 miles for $17,000 from a private party and it's in very good condition. That sounds like a pile of money for something that's been used as a work truck. I'd keep looking.

Brad, Missing a tailgate doesn't mean it has a fifthwheel. Looking in the bed you can see what he had in it. More information on the truck would make us have a better idea on the price and condition. Is it XL, XLT, OR LARIOT? Any mods?
