Hey, I had a problem with my 390 today.
I had the carb rebuilt because it was leaking fuel all over the place and it was stuck wide open big time.
The guy who rebuilt the carb put it back on and it wouldn't idle. So I took it for a test drive to warm it up and the motor was trying hard to die on me so I pumped it to keep it going and then all of a sudden, it stuck wide open and I had a wild ride as the truck slid all over. It scared me.
What is the problem? It was rebuilt and it stuck open. I can't figure it out. I looked all over but didn't find anything.

How are you motor mounts? I once drove an Ford wagon with a busted mount that would peg and catch the throttle linkage to WOT.
Either that or check your linkage to be sure it's not binding or catching on something?
Or your carb is still the problem....
