I have looked high and low and cannot find the part number for tow hooks for a 2006 F150 Supercrew 4x4 5.4L. I can't get a search to pull them up on the parts websites either. Can anyone help? Thanks.
I have a set of tow hooks right here in front of me but there is no part # on them. There is a stocking # or something stamped on them but it is not a part #.The #s stamped on the hooks don't even look like part # but I tried to run the #s anyway and they came back nfg.
I'm just copying/pasting the following from another thread. So, it may or may not be correct ... and it may be part numbers for 2004, 2005, etc. and may not be specific to the 2006. But, I guess it's worth posting. I believe the pricing shown is 'retail.'
A little something I picked up working on prototypes....That first number (6 in 6L3Z-17A954-AA ) Will be the model year that part was first used. But just because a part number may start different (say a 4 instead of a 6) does not mean it is compleatly different. Most likely a tow hook starting with a 4 or 5 will still fit on an 06. Not all parts change during a model run either. The current F-150 is still using the same fuel relay introduced in 05 (5LXX-XXXX).
I added the tow hooks to my truck, one thing i did notice that the hooks from the 04-05 are a littel diffrent than the 06. the 04-05 seem to look beefier where the holes are,(the outside hook is the same )than the 06. I know this becouse my pop wanted them on his 05 and i also did the install. The holes and nut plate are the same. All i did was go to the dealer and tell them the year and that i needed the nut plate and bolts, sorry no part #

Minor hijack: I wanted to add tow hooks to my XL. Come to find out I'd need a whole new bumper and valance to do it. I stopped the parts guy when he got past $500 when he was quoting me parts. Does this sound right? I figured all base trucks were set up for hooks and that I'd just need the hooks and a new valance.

That don't sound right i think that you just need the new valance and hooks.
Anyone know where I can find schematics for parts on the F-150? The parts guy at the dealership printed up an exploded view schematic of the rear end suspension and I thought how nice it would be if i had that for the entire truck.
So if I buy a new valance and 2 hooks I am set up? What do hooks cost?
Sure glad I don't need a new bumper. I asked the guy WTF did the bumper have to do with it and he just blew me off.
Not having tow hooks on a work truck seems like the bean counter at Ford got his priorities wrong. They could have kept the darn radio for all I care. A truck by definition has tow hooks in my book.
(I have a Warn receiver hitch shackle, but that doesn't count.)
