hesitation
Veh: 87 F150, 5.0 w/84k original miles
Symptons are: stalls after starting until warmed up, and hesitation during accelaration.
Replaced the Idle Air control, ECT sensor, and cleaned up and replaced the EGR valve. New sparkplugs and new distributor. Old module checked out ok so did not replace that. New sparkplugs, Old rotor and cap were fine.
Did the self test with the volt meter and got 11, 22, 1, 32, 32
The 22 and 32 make sense but not sure about the 11 or the single 1.
Engine has smoothed up some and seems to have a bit more power, but still has the above listed symptons.
MAP sensor only read 2.47 volts and did not change when I added 20 lbs of vacume, but not sure if I was checking this correctly. I switched the MAP sensor but no change so maybe some where in the wiring but don't know where to look.
Still have to do a compression check
Other ideas could be fuel system so I will change the filter this weekend.
Not sure if it would be the fuel pressure reg, no leaks there and not the same symptons from previous vehicles that needed that replaced.
Any other thoughts?

TPS can cause hesitation if you have one in your year. Hope some of this helps
Good Luck

Reoved the EGR and cleaned it up. Checked it with a vacume pump and plunger moves smoothly. Checked the vacume at the line going into the EGR it is 0 at idle and pulls 5 lbs as she revs up a bit, but can't reference to rpms as I don't have a tach.
Vacume at the main vacume connectors is @20 lbs but fluxuates as the idle fluxuates.
Did a compression check and all cylinders checked out.
Could not find any other vacume leak.
Another sympton is it sometimes knocks at the start of aceleration when it hesitates.
Not sure what to check now Please help
So far all checks came up fine. Even checked the TPS, thanks for that idea.
figured out the codes and getting 11 on the KOEO and a 32 on the continous
Code 32 points to the EVP and I did not know what that was until I looked in the Haynes a little more. Seems to be the sensor on top of the EGR. Reference volts were fine but It would not check out with the other tests, so I will be replacing it tommorow. If that does not fix it, then the next step will be a fuel system test at a shop.
I am wondering if a clogged exhaust could also cause the symptons as this truck had been parked for a long time and I have been finding old wasps nests in a few spots.

EVP (EGR position sensor) was not testing correctly. A little research and I found out that there were two type; a black one and a light grey one. Mine had a grey one. I went to Autozone but they did not have one in stock but an another nearby store did. Before making that trip to the other autozone, I stopped by the Advance Auto and they had one but it was a dark grey almost black, ignoring what I read, I tried it anyway. Did not work so I went to the other store and they had the light grey one. I really should get the dealer parts, but when I am going from sensor to sensor, the dealer parts would break the budget.
Now it does not stall when I start it but I still have some hesitation. Local Ford Dealer has a mechanic experienced in older trucks so I will be taking it there later this week. Really want to get a fuel pressure check and see if they can check the injectors.
BTY one of the tests I performed was to pull the electricial connections on the injectors to see if I had a bad one and really could not tell the difference as I pulled them. I even pulled two at a time and could not tell a difference. Not sure whats going on there so I will have it checked out.
I am wondering of a restrictor plate would work on the 5.0, seems to work on the I-6
