I need some help from you guys. Here is my situation:
I have a 2005 Ford 6.0
I installed a rebuilt Turbo on my vehicle. The rebuilt Turbo is a real dog off the line. Right at the top of first gear it finally spools up and the truck starts moving. I am running an SCT so I went back to the stock setting. Same problem. I did the KAM reset and VGT Relearn and had the same problem. I guess I felt like wasting $250 because I went out and purchased a Turbo Actuator and did the Kam Reset and VGT Relearn again. Same problem. I get plenty of Turbo Boost once kicks in it just takes a while. I am not getting any codes.
Any advice from the professionals?
Also, I have access to a Snap On Diagnostic Tool with the CAN adapter. Does anyone know what readings I should be getting form the turbo?
Thanks in advance for your help.

what transmission are you running ? when you floor it, how long in seconds from the time you mash the pedal till you are around 20psi ?
do you have a boost gauge ?
34 not bad, i could usually run around 32 psi with my stock turbo when i had the edge module on it.
but 4 seconds.. sounds like maybe your vgt nozzles stuck open, which would explain both the long lag, and the high boost.
Check to make sure the Y pipe on the back of the engine is sealed up and isn't cracked.. If it's cracked you should see soot on the engine or firewall..
Y pipe is good. Something is up with this Turbo. It was doing the same thing before and I am wondering if the rebuild was not correct or if something else is going on.
