Intake + Exhaust
Im thinking about replacing the stock air intake with a K&N 77 Series, and i might toss on a flowmaster 40 series. Anyone know of any good combos of the two for a good rumble sound, or will the two above create a good sound together.

K&N doesn't filter verywell, they let alot of dirt pass through. I would recomend the AEM intake with the dryflow filter, it requires no oil and filters well. K&n requires oil, and if you over oil it and it gets on your maff, it will cause problems. Alot of people use the flowmaster, but the 40 series will buzz inside the cab. Ihave the gibson dual sport and it sounds great, nice deep rumble, nice tone at WOT. I have an k&n 77 series intake on my truck, but swapped the filter for an AEM and will soon be replacing the k&n intake with the AEM now that they make one that fits my truck. For the most benifit from an intake and exhaust, get the bama tuner, it will correct the air & fuel ratio and wake your truck up. There won't be much performance gain with out the tuner. You will get sound however, if thats all your looking for. Do the intake, catback, bama and underdrive pulley and you will get a nice noticable bump in hp and torque, good for about 25 hp. Gives you a little more zip if you off-road alot as I do and will lite the tire on the road.
