Hey Frederic,
I was wondering, now that its been a while since you POR-15 (?) the frame of your truck, how well its holding up and wether you still think it is/was a worthwhile investiment of your time and money. Could you post a pic or three of how its holding up for you?
Thanks!
Tim
Ps - I made this a thread instead of a PM as I figured others might wonder the same thing and might gleen something from you experience.
I will chip in a little info that I know about that stuff. My buddy put it on his Camaro frame about a year ago... and due to limited space in his garage, he had to move it outside under a tarp. Even though it is tarped, it will still of course come into contact with moisture. And so far, there isn't a spec of rust on it whatsoever. I am sold by POR-15. I know I'm not Frederic by any means, because I'm not a genious, but that's my .02!

Howdy Tim.
I used POR15 in the wheel wells of the bed after welding patch panels on both sides, but on the frame I used Ospho, which is a cheaper, more runny type of product (easier to spray/brush/dribble as necessary). It still has the "pickled" finish as it did just after liberally applying it, and the parts I painted over with rustoleum still look like they should.
The wheel arches are just starting to rust on the weld seams, probably becasue I didn't spray enough at the seams themselves on the inside, and I'll have to revisit that I guess.
user error!
And thanks for the corner guys... scrambling to find work when-ever, where-ever doing what-ever.
Its still available and it works fine. POR15 is fine. I prefer ospho simply because it's 1) cheap and 2) has the consistancy of water - so places you can't spray/brush it in, often times you can pour it in and coat it that way
