very nicely done with out spending alot of money. i have a step side 77 and want the led tails for mine but they are very $$$$ out of lmc, maybe i can find them from a sponsor of fte.
I have LED's on my atv trailer like that. Completely clear until you turn the lights on then the go red. I want to switch the clearance lilghts to those, clear and turned on they turn amber.
If anyone is looking for leds, go to a truck/trailer shop. I work at one and you'd be suprised at all of the different kinds. Your bound to find something that you'll like.
I NEVER had mine turn yellow. In the 2 years that I had my first set (had them replaced at the begining of summer, lifetime warrenty hahaha) they never yellowed. They did get dimmer on the brighter brake side though, so I took em in and got new ones.
iirc... autozone has some led bulbs that plug in, and they are only about 15 bucks for both sides... also where did the backup light go? i dont know about where you are located but up here in mass, no backup lights = no pass on the inspection!
Nice job. Personally I wouldn't do it that way. But it looks cool. Using that kind of light my idea would be to put them in a rollpan and fill and smooth the original place for the lights. Also would be a good idea to have backup lights.
I meant clearish-white factory style tail lights with red led bulbs in them. There is a company out here in Ca that sells them. They also sell the clearish-white side marker lights.
