got a 95 bronco with trans problems. had fluid changed and changed mlps. still shifts like crap. what else can i do before i check on a rebuild? only does this after ive been driving it all day and it gets hot. in the mornings its fine.
When you changed the fluid did you flush the cooler? When was the last time you flushed your rad?
If you can't get rid of the heat, it will eventually burn up your tranny. I'm with Kemical on the external - I swapped one in the first week I got my newest (89) bronco and then plugged the holes in the rad where it used to be. Runs cool and pulls al day long.
A side point on it - when the tranny fluid cooling coil in the rad fails it pumps coolant into the tranny, killing it and contaminating your coolant with tranny fluid.
