What could be wrong?
yesterday my 04 F250 felt like the tranny slipped between 2nd and 3rd gear and the lock light started to flash on the shifter. Today the emisions light on the dash came on. Anyone have these problems?

Time to take it in for a code read. Autozone and many other shops including AAMCO will read codes for you. AAMCO has the advantage of surely reading tranny codes, not all readers do.
Post the codes and then we can do better than guess.
