This is my sisters jeep, so I dont drive it every day, but while on a short test drive I learned that the engine stutters and cuts out when turning left and when driving over bumps (potholes, railroad tracks, etc.) She says it seems to be fine when gas tank is full, and worse when tank is empty. I'm thinking the in-tank fuel pump and or sending unit has something to do with it, but I'd like to be a little more sure of my conclusion before dropping the gas tank. Any help, information, or shared experiences would be appreciated. Thank You.

hey 400nut, my brothers jeep did the same thing, but it would do it driving down the road, and he got pissed and hit the steering wheel and it fixed it, it was probably just a coinciendnt, and it kept doing it and i forgot what my dad replaced but when he wakes up in the morning "he's asleep" ill ask him and tell ya what he did!!
what year and model of jeep? It does sound like it has something to do with the fuel pick up. www.naxja.org is a good website if this jeep is a cherokee xj(midsize, not grand)
