Just purchased 2003 6.8L V10 Superduty XLT Crew Cab. This is my first pickup. So far I love it. What mods would you first recomend? What should I do first? Any help would be appreciated. (Budget and hiding from the wife should be taken into some consideration.)

Although I modified the heck out of my own truck I have to agree with the above statement! If you have a ton 'o money modifications are great but beleive me, you will end up spending a lot! Every time I finish one thing I start looking at another.
Now I'm thinking about a 6" lift, headers, a chip, a six disk CD changer, .... it never ends!
GET A SUPERCHIPSMICROTUNER fr/online store here, money well spent and you can tell her how you wont have bring your truck in to have codes checked and it will run so much better! You are probaly like me,my favorite word is modify.Exhaust mods deliver good results.go for it!
Money is not the issue and hiding from the wife is not to hard there are ways around. Just looking for what to do first. Muffler, chip, will a new air filter realy make a difference. Thanks
Gotta agree with the supercharger if money is no object. Otherwise
possibly a steeper gear if you don't haave it, microtuner to
reprogram the computer for the steeper gear, K&N intake (not just the
filter), maybe a flowmaster muffler though she will probably notice
that one (and the supercharger idle whine, come to think of it).
Your post reminds me of the time I put a different $80 pulley on my
my wife's supercharged GTP. I did not realize it netted a real 40
hp increase - that is a lot in a mid size car. She did not notice
for a couple of days then I got a call from her while she was out
driving:
Hello?
"What did you DO TO MY CAR?"
Why?
"I just went to pass some one and the tires burned out from a roll
and I hurt my head on the head rest!"
OOooops
all of these posts have helped me to realize that this could be a project just like a house it will never end. After doing some more reading and research and listening to all of you and taking to a buddy of mine who is just insane with all of this i am going to put on a gibson dual side sweep and do the chip after the holidays seeing this will be the best bang for my buck. thanks to all and will keep you informed.
