Hey guys, I'm going to be towing a car across a few states. My question is do I have to stop at weight stations or point of entry stations? Or can I just shoot right past?
im only really familiar with the west coast states (WA, OR, CA, NV, ID, MT, NM) and the only one that stops you is CA, they are *****. thats only when going into california with a trailer, leaving is unpoliced

Ya actually I will be west coast primarily? Coming in around tahoe/reno area. So I need to stop coming in to CA with a car but not coming out?
You have to stop going in because of the veggie/fruit problem. They don't allow certain veg/fruit or plants into the state. I just completed a X-Country trip with my 5th wheel, and nothing was said about it, only the produce.
I assume you are towing you own car, if so you should not have to stop. I do not think you need and special endosment on your license (here WI you do not).

Even in CA I believe the actual wiegh stations have a sign that reads "NO PICKUPS". Could have changed, I havent been down there for about 2 years. Even when I had a full ICC authority running my f350 dually I never stopped at a CA wiegh station just because of that sign.
