i think they're pricey, most autobody places do them, most guys like lineX. i had one in my other truck ,it was there when i got it and i loved it. i think it was a rhino liner.
I had mine done at Boyd's Autobody in North Battleford and they did a real nice job. I'm not sure what make of liner they used but it seems very good. I believe the cost of the liner and to repair a windshield chip was almost $500. The truck was there most of the day but they also wanted it there for that long to let it dry.
I made a guy two brackets that he supplied the steel for and got mine. Think the material is about $50 plus masking supplies and the gun to spray it. If you look in the tutorial section of FTE there is a couple that put a liner into their Ranger, they rolled it on, actually looked pretty good.
500?? whoa i think you got a good deal. the $$'s i've heard are in the 750-1000 range, but that may be wrong.
I think I did too! I got it done through my father-in-laws tire shop so it may have been dealer cost. I've never heard how the roll on type liners work that you do yourself but it is always an option.
I'm not sure I want to take the new truck and start with a roller in the box just yet. Maybe I could do one of the old ones first to see how it works. I saw one add on here somewhere and the stuff was about $100 US plus shipping. But you think I can find the website again.
No I'm still at work. It should be ready when I get back on the 24th I fly home in the morning then off to the dealer to pick it up. And its not white. After working up here just to many white trucks.
I have had four Line-X liners and probably wouldnt get anything else - I prefer the finer texture and the consistent texture of the stuff. My brother has a spray in liner of some other type (I know the name but just cant recall). Its a bit thicker as well as a rougher texture but it appears to be wearing well. This liner was in his when he bought it otherwise I am sure he would have got the Line-X as well. In a new truck, I think this professionally applied stuff is the way to go, but like mentioned, in an older truck I might experiment some with the cheaper apply-it-yourself stuff.

When going by Merlin the other night I noticed some new 08 PSD`s in white and wondered if one of them was your new ride. Guess not....
What is the colour?
Blue with the Silver on the bottom. Didn't get from Merlin though. Looked there then went to Jubilee. The one I took from Merlin for a test drive had a shake in the front end. Then the salesmen just didn't seem to be able to spend the time with us. Said didn't have the truck I wanted and said we can get it in from somewhere else but would cost me $800 or so for shipping. So I left.
