i was doing some routine maintance on my explorer today and i was going to replace the fuel filter and realized i couldnt find it! any clues on where it might be. its a 2002 Explorer with the 4.0 SOHC 4x4 and 5R55W tranny.
Passenger side tucked up above the frame right about even with the doors. Just follow the fuel line and you will find it. It is not the easiest thing to change, but not all that bad.
That is correct and be sure to depressurize the system before changing the filter and also wear goggles to protect from any gasoline that may squirt out when removing.
