reverse light

reverse light
just installed back up lights and was wondering on the reverse bulb what is the hot wire? black wire or black with purple line. hooked up to both and neither would light the lights when in reverse. fuses are good. thanks for any help

Unless you installed reverse lights on the Bellhousing of your V10 engine, :-) I would suggest posting this in the SuperDuty (if that is the model of truck you have) forum. You will get a much faster reply there.
