Weekend car shows.

I finally took my 51 F1 to a couple of car show this weekend. One was a 30 mile round trip and the one today was a 75 mile round trip. The old 239 flatty done me proud. Didn't have one bit of trouble out of it. Had it on the interstate for the first time. Ran it between 60-65 MPH, mostly 60 MPH and the temp never got over 160. Believe it or not I got 20 miles to a gallon out of it. And the running gear is all stock. I thought that was pretty good to. Me and my dad really enjoyed ourselves this weekend. I had alot of looks at the truck just b/c I hadn't changed the motor out on the truck. Alot of people couldn't believe I was going to leave the flathead in the truck, but alot more like it b/c it was still in the truck. I know they are not the fastest thing out on the road but I would change out my flathead for nothing, I love the sound of it plus out of the whole show I was the only F1 there with a flat head still in it. I love to be different. I'll say one thing though running 60 MPH on a 70 MPH interstate you get pasted by alot of cars and trucks, but who care's. Just like my dad said, There is a left lane let them go around. Just thought I'd share what a fun weekend I had with my truck.

Awesome! The only show I have been to in mine there was 2 Y-blocks. The other one is not stock and not in the correct year. There was only 1 flat head there.

Original is unique now. They get a lot of attention at shows.
