Went mountain biking today and locked the keys in the truck (like always so not to lose them) and came back and the keyless entry pad wouldn't work. Luckily I left a window cracked and I got to the unlock button....
I've narrowed it down to the 3/4 button not working, which is one of the numbers required for the factory code. This is a hardwired version and I'm having a hard time finding anything on the internet.... anyone know of a quick fix and/or where to get a replacement?
PM me with your email address and I will send you a copies of the instructions to a Keyless Entry Pad. I do not have permission to make attachments on this forum.
I had one and a wire to the key pad was broken. You will have to pull the key pad out to check. Then I would just buy a new pad. The code won't change it is in the CPU. The pad in this case is only the entry keyboard.
Sturz,
if you can get it to work intermit. you may try to change code eliminating 3/4 from your code. Instructions for this should be in your owners manual. If that doesn't work and you find issue is in pad itself you may be able to locate used pad on internet, splice, or replace with rf keypad. You can find the genuine Ford rf key pad for around $ 60-70 shipped, off ebay.
