351W Water Temp Sensor

I have a 351W from a donor vehicle that I have put an Edelbrock manifold on and am installing a set of aftermarket gauges. My question is where is the be place to install the water sensor. The two locations I have to choose from are the access hole just behind the water thermostat or the smaller access hole on the other side of the manifold. Which is the best location?

Whichever one that is easiest to get to and makes the wiring work best. I used the one behind the thermostat on mine.
