alt/reg wiring
I need a wiring diagram for a two wire altenator. I am converting from a four wire altenator. The four wire has two plastic plug-ins(one with two wires and one with one wire) and one large wire. The large wire is the power wire and the others are field wires, I believe. I want to convert to a two wire system, as I have put in a new motor and the altenator mounting is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Truck is short bed and titled as a 71. Don't know the real year of manufacture.

Painless Wiring installation manual, covers several type of alt setup. It shows the 2 wire toward the back of the manual (18 crt universal). They allow you do download All of there PDF documents.
