Airbag Removal Question

I have to replace one of the cruise control switches on my '96 Bronco and have to remove the airbag to do it. Is there anything special to do other than disconnect the battery 10 minutes before I take of the airbag. Looks like the airbag is only held on by 4 nuts right behind the steering wheel. Thanks for the info.

I read there is a capacitor in the circuit to store the electricity. Just give it plenty of time to discharge after disconnecting the battery.

You said you need to remove one of your cruise control switches but did not give much detail. Is the switch visiably bad? Could it be the clockspring? The air bag light flashed a 3-2 code for a few months then the cruide died and that went on a few more months then the horn quit. I needed the horn for inspection sticker and the clock spring fixed all three issues.
