oil leak

I have a 99 7.3 turbo diesel that is leaking oil from the top of the engine....is there a oil sending unit there? this is next to the fuel filter housing...i found where it is leaking from but i dont know what it is...maybe if i describe it...it has a 3 inch stem with what looks like a rubber bushing around it and a 2 wire connection on top....any help is appreciated thanks

no...actually i believe its on the other side of this picture about 3 inches from the fuel water seperator valve
