ThumeRoo stuff...

Tranferred all the donated funds for the tranny (thatnks Chet and Karl) to Dan to get started on the swap of parts to our case. I'm going to have to find some time to snek back up and help put the engine together.
I think we spent about 30 minutes labor and 6 hours of BS'ing.
Great way to spend a Saturday IMO
Any idea when the case will be done so we can install the power train? Fastmover's problems with his starter reminds me that we need to build our headers. They need to be designed to keep mud out of the pipes when we are pulled backwards, and to give us lots of clearance for frame/engine flex and movement.
Dan's will have to comment on tranny work.
He did pick up some steerng stuff (Steering box, column to box shaft) we need to have the pitman arm taper opened up to fit the draglink taper...once all that's done, we can mount the box and set up the steering fairly quickly.
We swapped the front tires with your other set, as one wouldn't hold air, since it needs to be rolled here and there, we made things easy on ourselves.
The front stance is great, the rear needs to come up another 4-6 inches, Dan and I spent so much time just BS'ing, I forgot to take some measurement for the shackle mounts I need to make, so he'll get me some info and I'll get them setup and ready to mount.
Also, to show my ignorance, can we pull the axles and tow thumper without turning the rear end? Will the wheel bearings have grease? I am thinking of using a tow dolly.
Also again, do we need to complete the rear suspension before it moves from Bud's shop?
I think there's a bit more than needs to be done though before we tow or dolly it, it could be trailered though with less prep work.
