hello wondering if anybody knows if the rear doors use the same regulator as the front? if they are different, anybody know of a place that sells them? thanks D.J.
well i was told the weather stripping was the same front too rear, so i would asume the window is the same size. but the door itself is not at wide as the front.

D3TZ-2527000-A .. Right Rear Window Regulator
D3TZ-2527001-A .. Left Rear Window Regulator
C8SZ-57262A32-A .. Window Roller
Regulators fit 1973/79 rear door Crew Cabs only.
Is the regulator bad, or just the window roller?
Remember, rear window regulators aren't used much, so will usually be stiff.
White lithium grease usually solves stiff window mechanisms.
Ford window rollers = known to fail. If the regulator doesn't work, or the window has fallen down into the door, the fault usually lies with the roller.
Crew Cab rear door window rollers (C8SZ-57262A32-A) are the same as:
Front Door: 1968/72 LTD; T-Bird; Maverick 2dr; Falcon. 1968/72 Mercury Marquis; Mark III & IV; Comet.
Front Door: 1968/71 Fairlane/Torino & MUSTANG. 1968/71 Montego & Cougar
Rear Door: 1973/78 LTD/Mercury Marquis
Quarter Window: 1973/76 T-Bird; Mark IV.

The plastic window roller has a stud (which pivots) pressed into it.
The stud is bolted to the end of the window regulator arm.
The roller portion fits into the window channel.
The stud breaks off the window roller.
The window handle spins freely.
Very Common.
