I have a 1998 F-150. It has the factory installed class III hitch with the factory trailer light socket. I have no power for either left or right turn signals from the socket. Trailer tail lights do work fine. Turn signals on the truck work fine. I have checked all fuses inside of the truck. I have checked all fuses under the hood in the power distribution box. All are good. I've traced the wires from the socket up to where they disappear into the main wiring harness. Open the plastic loom and with a razor blade and test light checked for power forward of the socket. No power to either turn signal... These lights worked fine 3 weeks ago when trailer was last pulled. Any ideas would be appreciated.... Thanks..
Looks like we have the exact same problem; except I was working on the boat trailer lights when the turn signels quit working at the 7 prong tow plug
Did you check the fuses under the steering column to to the left? I checked/replaced 18 and 23 and checked/replaced #1(20amp) in the power distribution box under the hood to no effect. I'm hoping some one has some insight into this issue...
Thank you steve. I don't think I would have ever found that extra fuse box...If you ever need any help with turbocharged corvair corsa's, let me know. I've messed with and still restore them to this day.. Jerry
