Well my o2 sensor located in the manifold is stuck tighter than I don't know what. I have about zero room for any leverage at all and now the threads are pretty much rounded. My question is; can I just put in a new bung on the down pipe and extend the wire on the new sensor or will it not heat correctly being located off of the manifold? Has anyone done this before?

It does work better the closer it is to the engine. If you are going to take the pipe off to weld the bung in, you might as well take the exhaust manifold off and get the sensor out with some vise grips or something.
