04 radio remove

04 radio remove

Before I bought the tool to push the pins in, I tryed with out the tool and I think I broke the clips inside. I can't get the pins to give when using the tool. Any ideas out there?

Pull the dash face off and the radio will come with it. See the other recent thread for instructions on how to pull the dash face off.

I had to coax my unit out with a large flat blade screwdriver in addition to using the removal tool...just gotta be REAL careful. Gently try and pry on the dash adjacent to where the tool is inserted. Get one side first then the other. You'll hear it pop loose when you get it.
Did I say be careful?
