I recently replaced the old oil bath air filter on my 78 f350 with a regular air cleaner(air cleaner is also from a ford 400). The carb stud that holds the air cleaner is way to long now and I need to get a shorter one. Is the stud right or left hand threads? I have another problem also, the hose coming from the left rear valve cover going to the air cleaner is to small to slide on. How do I go about fixing it?
384411-S .. Elbow to Air Cleaner / 5/8" 90 degrees. Fits into hole, top of air cleaner.
Junkyards: These parts were used on 90% of 1973/79 V8 passenger cars, F100/350's and 1978/79 Bronco's. Some of the studs were from a 1/4" to a 1/2" longer.
