Finally got some new wheels. I had to have them custom made by American Racing because they didn't carry the Torq-Thrust II's for the '73 F100. They are 17" with Goodyear 225/60/17 tires. The truck looks sick, me thinks!
to be honest, and this is gonna sound lame, but I have no clue what offset or backspacing they went with. The place that I ordered them from had a bunch of rims that would've worked on my truck, so I'm guessing he just told American Racing to build 'em to those specs. When they were delivered to me, I never recieved a spec sheet or anything.
I did luck out with mine... They were on special at a wheel place (who really wants 5 x 5.5 in a 17x7) in an odd style that I was hot for (that no one else was), and a buddy who runs a muffler shop mounted em for me.
i paid 1800 for mine. a set of 36x14.50 tsl radials on eagle allows. it is just me or are some of these bigger wheels just looking really small on these trucks?
forgot to say, the truck does look super. i do like it. the tire thing must just be me. im used to looking at those 36s

Highboy, it's the overall tire diameter that makes them 'look smaller'. I dropped from 30" to 27" overall diameter. (which is the same as a 255 60 15). I think even a 235 75 15 is 28.5"-29" overall diameter
