Back in the saddle!!
Its been over a year since ive had my own diesel to play with...Im finally back in!!! Wrapped my fingers on an '04 F-350 XLT CC LWB 124k. Its actually going to get here next week, but was to excited not to post! Anyway Im curious on what I should do, maintenence wise, once it gets here. Other than change out all the fluids, what else should I do? Also, I dont know what kind of oil its been getting. Should I start now with Syn's?? Or stick with dynos? Any perticular weights/brands for these miles? What about Syn's for other fluids??

Anticipation....man it would drive my wife nuts if I had to wait for the delivery! Congrats...yes, you know we wanna see pictures!
I use plain old Motorcraft oil in mine. It's inexpensive and since we're changing oil every 5K it's the logical choice. Don't forget filters!
