Question for black04lariat
I was wondering how you mounted the cb radio in the dash where the ash tray was. What did you use as a mounting bracket. And where did you mount the bracket for support. I would like to mount it the same way as you. Any help, advise and pictures would be great.

I dont have any pictures of how I did it just installed (check gallery) but here is what I did. I got a piece of black abs plastic (like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007WRQL2/ref=olp_product_details/103-4651954-2841411?ie=UTF8&seller= ) First removed the ashtray...it is 2 screws at the top and it comes out. I then cut the ABS to the correct rectangular size as well as 2 holes where I can use the factory screws and mount the plastic in. After that was done I scored an outline of the front on the cb on the ABS. Then I just cut out the center size...enough needed for the cb thats it. Then slid it in place. I had the hole tight enough on the cb that it held itself just by the ABS. Then I ran my wiring and used the 2 factory screws and mounted it up. Pretty easy to do. Once you want to sell the truck you can reinstall the ashtray and nobody will ever know it was there.
