can't tell you much about that system but i have installed the OilGuard system. Works well and the install was easy, it's definitely a heavy duty piece. pics are in my gallery
I use the FS2500 and am sold on it. There is no way you are going to damage this unit, it weighs in fairly heavy and is thick walled. I mounted mine on the frame rail under the drivers door. Easy to get to and change the filter. Bypass filters are a product that you must have a little faith in and believe the technology behind it. Proof is hard to come by on an OA. They work, all of them. You cannot go wrong with any of the major units on the market. The best thing Oil Guard has going is the cost of the replacement filters. String is cheap. Polyester is not as it is based on oil. TP is cheaper but must be changed every 1-2K approx. Too soon for most people who have a life to live.
Check out the testing that they did to their filter. The Southwest Research Institute tested it and proved what it can do. To my knowledge, not one other company has tested their filter by an independant third party.
I now change oil at 10K intervals and am pleased with the results. But that is another thread altogether.
I just installed one and would be happy to post some pics if anyone is interested. The FS 2500 is very heavy duty. The hardest part of the installation was drilling through the frame rail! I used one existing hole and drilled another.

but as it is a bypass system if you don't change it on time it won't hurt anything. right?

No. The only possible problem is with the TP itself. Will it break down like it does in water? I don't know. Like I said, changing it that often is a hassle, I don't care how easy it is to do. Just think about how long it takes you to roll up 1K. On average, you would be changing it at least once per month, if not sooner.
