While I've decided to build myself a bush bumper, but I am worried about the weight. I have two ideas in mind, one like this made out of 3/16 flat bar close to the size of the stock unit and the other a pipe bumper (design not decided). The problem is that both designs would weight approx. 150lbs.
So, I guess my question is what should be the max weight I put on the front of truck? The truck does have quad shocks up front and I'm not planning on a winch. And I also would willing to change to shocks to help out if need be.
Thanks for listening.

PS - If anyone knows of any diagrams or pictures of pipe bumper and/or skid plates send my way.
Your suspension, esp + the quad shocks, will handle 150lbs fine. Sort thru a google search for tube bumpers there ought to be a diagram/measurements in there somewhere.
