I worked with a gal that became a grandma at 29. She got pregnant at 14, and her daughter followed in her mothers footsteps. It ain't the challenges you encounter in life that determines the type of person you become, it's how you deal with them.

That is amazing. Someday, if something in my yard, looks a tenth that good, I will be happy with myself haha. Really, that is amazing.

I work at a customs warehouse, I offload tractor trailers for inspection, then load them back up.

Sorry to hear that Stewart. I am starting to feel my back after all my years of military duty, rucksack, jumping out of airplanes, scuba diving with twin 80s, etc. Gonna do this cops and robbers thing till I can't anymore. Then I am going to be a golfing retired turd.

Past tense for me (did) but still present tense (do) for Mike.

I loved it. Other than my Christian faith, and my family, it helped define who I am and helped me feel like I made a difference in my corner of the world.

Ah!

It's the family business, so it's all good.

When my dad retired from the Army back in '72, he slowly started picking up rental property. I started managing the rentals for pop back in 2000.

He passed away back in '03 and I've been taking care of my mom and all the rentals ever since.

I'm my own boss so other than deadbeat renters who I have to evict, it's a fairly low stress job, which is good for me.

I am a contractor and the bulk of my work is contract work for a rental management company. They have close to 200 units and they are all less than 5 years old with the exception of a few.
