From your other thread: C6 casting numbers = 1966. Those casting numbers pertain to cars & trucks, the same numbers were used for several model years, so the engine could be a: 352, 360, 390 or..even a 428.

Thanks for the welcome and the info. The green was my main concern....The truck has points of what looks like dark teal to me (complete interior is this color as well as under the master cylinder, you can see it on that pic above). Under the door panels is much more green looking (it's the same paint). Is this the original Green color (aged)?
Anyone know where I can find original color swatches online?
Thanks

Looking at paint chips online isn't a good idea, you need to see them in person UNDER natural light, not on a computer screen. Many automotive paint stores carry paint chip charts. Take them out side to view them. If you want to see a good example of the original un-faded color, look under the seat. The pics in your gallery: That's the original color on the left door.
And...the engine color is wrong, Ford trucks 1965-1967 with a 352 have black engine blocks, heads, oil pan...the valve covers are gold.
What year is the engine?
Wrong carb for 1965/67. F Series trucks till 1968 didn't have fuel filters screwed into the carb, the fuel filter is in the fuel pump (it may still be). The style of the oil cap on the left valve cover is from the 1950's, early 60's. The oil cap on the right valve cover wasn't used till 1968. Co-incidently, 1968 was the first year Ford truck engines were painted Ford Blue. The entire engine was this color. All Ford trucks 1965/67 had oil bath air cleaners, one oil cap (left side), the hole in the right valve cover had a rubber grommet for the smog valve. I don't have to look too far to see what's correct, as I have a '65 F100, and have owned the same truck since new.

GOOD, I really like that and will go back with it when we get ready for paint.

It does have a pump filter as well.

Thanks. I still need to measure the stroke of this engine to try and determine what it is. Like I said in my first post, a few things made me think it wasn't the original engine. But I couldn't pass up the deal I got on the truck and with some sweat equity, it can be a nice one again.
I do appreciate your help

I'm curious about something....both times you mention Ford Truck engines being a certain color. If this engine had come out of a 1966 car, would it have been Black? Or was the color scheme you mention specifically for trucks?
I guess it's possible that this engine has been rebuilt and repainted.
Thanks again.
edit:
Because of the color issue you brought to my attention, I went out and looked at the block casting again. The Intake is a C6AE mark. The block, after a little cleaning on it, appears to be a C8ME. Thanks.
