I am about to replace the +/- battery cables on my truck. I got motorcraft ones. It looks like it may not be nearly as easy as it was on my 65 Mustang. Whats the easiest way to get to the lower portion of the wires? I can't really see where they end up going. Does the + one reach all the way to the starter? It doesn't look long enough. Also, there are 2 white connectors. I know one of them is to the rear of the battery, but where is the other one? Whats the easiest way to get your hands on it? It seems like it would be easiest from under the truck, but I can't see anything. Is there any chance there is an easier way?

I've got a pair of the older red metal ramps. I almost forgot about them.
They are red and black, but on the positive cable there are two white connectors tied into it that connect to the trucks wiring harness. I can't find the lower one.

I just went out and looked at a truck the same as yours.
Off the POS post there are two wire, one goes to the starter (the larger one) and the other goes to the starter relay. No white connectors.
The white connectors are wired to smaller gauge wire that is routed with the battery cable in the wire loom. The one I can see is right behind the battery near the starter soleniod.

I have looked at it more closely from several different angles, and that is exactly what it is. The O2 sensor's wiring is tied into the + battery cable. There is a small bracket on the + cable and O2 harness. It looks like the only way to get at it is through a small oval hole in the crossmember. That should be fun. Is there a better way to get at it?
What we are saying is that the O2 sensors wiring is just routed with the positive cable and not actually connected to it. At least thats what I see it as. Look behind the battery and there is a small white connector. The wires from that connector go down into the wire loom with the positive cable as a harness. Does that make sense? Maybe we are wrong, but I don't see what else it can be.
Sorry I was under the impression that the two white connectors you were talking about were hooked to the + cable.
The two "N" color connectors you are talking about are C1003 behind battery and C1025 at the O2 sensor.
