4.5" Donahoe Racing Install Help??

Alright. After being pressured by the guys at work, and mostly by myself, I think it is coming down to the time that I need to just bite the bullet, if I can afford it. I need to seriously know how difficult of an install this is? I am pretty mechanically inclined, just never installed a lift before. Also, is there anything outside of the tool area that I would need extra besides what comes with the kit, brake lines, etc? Also, what would I gain by having it installed? If I get it installed from somewhere it will probably be Woodlands Performance. Anyone use them? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Johnny aka Bulldog68

you can prob do it yourself. My BIL and I did mine, I'd never done a lift before, he'd lifted his dodge.

you'll need a bigass pitman arm puller

It took us all day, but we didnt work very fast

I did my truck by myself. Never had done a lift before, so it was all new to me. I did have a fair amount of self taught mechanical experience with cars. I used a standard pitman arm puller. I just modified it with a grinder and gave it a little push to get it on. You will need some big sockets...I can't remember the exact sizes.

I assume you are talking about Woodlands Performance in Texas. If not disregard the following about them, but the Truck Toyz stuff still applies. I talked to them and they were a little more expensive than Marty at Truck Toyz even with Marty shipping the stuff. I was very pleased with my experience with Marty. Answered all my newby questions and returned my calls/pm's promptly.
