Angry Keyless Keypad Entry Code ?

Hey everyone, I'm new on here. I use to check out the site from time to time when I had my Powerstroke. Anyway, I just recently bought an 04 FX4 Supercab with the keyless entry pad on the door. This is the first time I have ever had this option and the dealer neglected to find the code before selling it and then I found out I had to either find the code somewhere on a power module or take it back over to the dealer to get the master code. Can someone please help me to find where to look in the truck to find the code. This would save me over an hour from having to go back to the dealer. thanks

pretty sure there is a plate behind the rear seat with serial numbers on whatnot on it. I've heard you can find the code there. I have never looked myself, but seen others talking about that before. good luck!

Where under the back seat? This is a supercab, not supercrew.

BEHIND the rear seat. You have to remove the rear seat back. Do a search for rear seat removal and you will find instructions.

I found mine on a card in the owner's manual. Worth a try.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I've looked everywhere for the card, and it's gone! But I did google seat removal and got detailed instructions with pictures. May give it a try tomorrow. Thanks for all of your help.

Order yourself a pair of keyless entry POB's to hang on your key chain. They only cost about $12.00 on the internet.

Well, it is behind the rear seat. Thanks for the info. It was a pain in the butt to do, but really only took about 30 minutes to do. The only problem is getting to the plastic releases behind the seat. Luckily I have small hands or this would have been impossible. But I got the code and I'm good to go. These are the instructions I received from a google search if anyone is interested.

FXFOUR,
Did you happen to find the harness and plug for a Audiophile subwoofer while you were into the back seat?

Sorry, I was just so relieved to have finally removed the seat, that I didn't take the carpet completly off the back wall of the cab, just enough to see the code on the keyless power module, which is easily accessed once the rear seat is off directly behind the driver's seat maybe 12" below the back window.

Cool Keyless entry

I talked to Ford and they told me that the module for keyless entry was above the radio in my 04 F-150. I have been reading on the site and every1 on here says it is behind the rear seat. They also told me that the code was no longer put on the module as they have to hook up to the dlc and get the code out. Help please.

I dont think there is enough room above the radio for anything except air. I have never seen anything above my radio in my 04 the millions of times I have been behind the radio.. and I have keyless.

If you really want, pop the radio out real fast, the radio trim pulls off and its 4 screws and the radio comes out....but it wont be there.. Sounds like the dealer trying to make some money. If it were me, I would look behind the rear seat. All the instructions you need are in this thread.
