First, GREAT SITE!! That said, I have an 02, 7.3, f350, CC, LB, SRW, w/ after market rims and wheels, (325/60/18) no lift. I pull a small trailer (usually). A week ago, I picked the trailer up after it sat at a job for about 2 weeks. I now have a vibration. I have read every forum on vibrations ( I Think). I checked Bjs, bearings, alignment, balance, I rotated, checked trans and rear end fluid, U-joints, motor and trans mounts.......all seem OK. When pulling a trailer I can feel it slightly in the wheel and on the floor board, not really the seat, at about 50-60 mph. It may seem strange but I notice it the most in my drivers side mirror. It has always been a little shaky but now I can literally watch the vib. It seem worse when I am mid throttle at those speeds when pulling. I read the forum and just went out w/out a trailer and it still did it but now I hear a clunk if I goose it at 65-75. Almost right under me. I can't make it do it at lower speeds. sorry so wordy.....
Might be a tire out of round. Does any of your tires have alot of balancing weights on them? You might have to have someone drive it and you look at it from another truck when going down the road to see if you have a wheel/tire bouncing.
I've had friends that have had aftermarket wheels that were out of round and caused vibrations. I believe radial tires you have to rotate the same side from front to back and back to front. By doing this you will always feel the vibration, it just might be stronger when the wheel is on the front.
My wheels are clean on the inside and out and I did rotate the tires. I never had any vibration in the beginning. It just seem to happen all the sudden. Can the front shocks causes this and happen almost instantly? .......Thank you..
