Hey my nephew picked up a 95 ford 4x4 fully loaded with a 302 auto. He paid 2000 for the truck. It has over 300,000 klics on it. He plans to go hunting with it this fall. It is black with red interior. What modelis it I don't know. I have not seen it yet.
Those 302's can go forever if they are properly maintained. Sounds like a great truck though! If he needs a parts truck I know of a 92 ford with a rebuilt tranny, abit rusty of a body, and its an xlt.
I seen one on Kijiji ext cab being parted out. It looks pretty good. Has a nice box on it. It shere in Saskatoon. So any of you guys needing parts for yours maybe check this truck out and Preppy's.
I`ve got a spare 93 XLT cab with a crunch on the drivers side roof. Pw, p door locks, good doors, tilt wheel and cruise/ac.
Heck, if this keeps up we`ll have your nephew`s truck rebuilt in no time!
It does not need rebuilding. Just that the KMS are high.
Now tonight they call me to see if I can sell it for him now. It is a shortbox fully loaded. He wants to get the money to fix up his Tempo. It will be cheaper to drive. Man it did not take long for him to get greedy. He now ants 4000 for it. He got back and some of his buddy's in the autobody shop got him going about selling it. So I checked blue book value and it says its worth around 4500.00 Now a person has to take off the high KMS. I will see it later this week when he brings it down to sell.
SHeesh society today so much greed to make a buck.
Sorry to take this thread off topic.
I`d sell the whole cab, doors and all if Paso1 decides not to buy the doors.
If you want the doors pm me and I`ll ask Paul about them.
Well an 18 hours trip with two PSD's, one with a 18 foot trailer with 6' high sides, one with an old boat, and a honda civic following, is gonna be kind of a slow trip!
Good luck prep as of fixing a tempo not worth it to me they are lemons always have been i have heard bad but i guess good gas mileage might be worth it rebuilding the 302
