'53 suspension height

does anybody have a measurement from axle to frame for a '53 F100 of what the origional stock height would be? we want to put super slider springs from no limit under this truck, and i want to figure out how much his origional suspension is sagging before we determine if we go with 2" or 3" drop up front.

thanks in advance

I think you'll be able to find the info from this site by one of our illustrious (and well missed) members;

I don't believe there is a standard measurement for what you described. If you use a drop axle, say 3 inch, you will retain your current measurement from the axle to the frame and still lower the vehicle. By using different springs such as reverse eye, you reduce the distance between the axle and frame. Unfortunately, lowering a vehicle is trial and error. Sometimes you may be too low, or not low enough. If you lower the springs, you can cut the rubber snubber on the frame in half, giving you an additional half inch of clearance. You would want a minimum of 1 inch travel between the axle and frame.
