Injector swap update
I swapped out my stock injectors for brand new 5.0. H.O. injectors today along with the throttle body sensor with a new one, and a new PCV Valve. I already had the parts laying around. My dad gave me the injectors which are 19lbs injectors same as my stock ones but new. My old ones had 120,000 on them and they were rusty and dirty. I noticed an immediate difference at idle. The truck idles smoother and starts up quicker. When i drive it it accelerates better than before. Driveability has improved and now I don't have any trouble getting up hills and speeding up in overdrive if I need too. Much nicer than before. I can't tell for sure yet because I've only driven it 40 miles since the swap but I think i picked up some gas mileage too. Don't get me wrong I didn't gain a whole heap of power but enough to where the truck is a lot smoother, it has a little more get up and go to it. The gas mileage wasn't important but definitely a plus! I found out too that I need to change my cap and rotor sometime to as it is full of that hard crystalline white stuff. I have one that is barely used and is in good shape. Thanks for the replies before guys. I also had one of those rubber distributor covers from a 5.0. H.O. in a Lincoln laying in my parts box and put that over my distributor to keep the mud off of it.
