Trading 2 for 1?

The wife and I have a 04 Escape and a 06 Ranger and have decided to trade them for a F350 Supercrew. We're working on our debt snowball so I'l probably wait till next year when both is paid off to do this. I would just sell them and then buy the truck but I've already tried selling the Ranger with no luck and the Escape has hail damage so it would hard to get rid of it also. Has anybody ever traded 2 vehicles for 1? Seems straight forward but with dealerships...

You'll be taking a real beating. You'll be actually getting less than wholesale for your vehicles and that is before the deduction for the hail damage. If you haven't done so already, you need to make a comprehensive claim on your insurance for the hail damage. The dealership doesn't really want your vehicles unless it fits into what they want to put in their inventory. If it doesn't fit into what they need, they will take it to the auction and sell it for wholesale of less.

We bought the Escape that way, took quite a bit off of the price when we bought it. I was figuring on keeping it many years but it never works out that way. The Ranger is a barebones XL which they could easily sell on the commercial side.. maybe. I may just try to sell them for what I can get.
