Need some help!

ok I have a '97 F250LD 4x4 ext.cab w/ the 5.4L and I'm wondering what gears do I have in it. I'm currently running 265/75-16 tires. When I'm going 70mph the tach is at 2k which is alot compared to my friends '99 that is about 1500 rpm.

The code on the rear end is:

s115B
E73 10 2 6H13.

Also what would cause a cv boot from throwin out all the grease? I have a leveling kit on it and thats it. I just noticed today that I have a missing sway bar link, the right shock bushing is gone so the shock moves side to side, my rear window leaks in 2 places and my exhaust is getting worse and worse. I love the truck but is this normal??? Its got 155k on it.

I'm gonna say 3.73. You sure it's not L73? The other 3 is probably under the bolt.

The CV boot is torn, needs to be replaced ASAP before the Ujoint fails from all the crap getting in there. The end links tend tp break rather easily, NAPA has a good quality replacement. The slider windows also tend to leak, it needs to be re sealed. No, idea on the exhaust without more info, and it sounds like you are due for new shocks. I'd say from the rpm's you have 3.55's but if that is what the tag says then you have 3.73's. I have 3.55's and at around 70mph I run around 2K rpm, can't remember the exact # though.

I went down to advance auto and bought the link kit. The bushings look to be the heavy duty ones which I've had on other vehicles. Is the rear window hard to reseal or do I have to get a whole new one. I'll double check on the gear part today. I'm in the process of painting my frame w/ rustoleum.
Do you guys have a choice on shocks??? I was thinking bilstens, or monroe ones.
