Converted system from R-12 to 134-a. Flushed system changed dryer and pulled vacumn as well as the o-rings and orifice tube. While recharging system had one can in started to put in second can something sounded like it popped. Then pressure on low side went to 110psi but high side was setting at 125psi. And not getting any cooling. So any help would be grateful.
My fault I looked back at my post wrote popped but really more of a loud click. been reading about Thermostatic switch. Having trouble finding it if this model even has one. Also my father in law thats helping thinks it may be a restriction because the lines to the accumulator/drier are not getting cold. But because of the high pressure on low side is not wanting to add more refrigerant.
Your compressor isn't turning, that's why you have essentially the same pressure on both sides of it (well, duh!). Check to see if the clutch is energizing or not, then see above.
One stupid question: the orifice tube filter may have been accidently left out the first time we charged the system. Could this be the problem with my compressor? And to question about flushing: we used ac flush but thanks for asking cause this thing's about to drive me crazy...........
No. a missing o-tube won't present the symptoms you have under the conditions stated.
Have you ever checked the clutch/compressor shaft or are you going to continue wasting bandwidth ignoring appropriate checks and tests that are designed to diagnose the system?
When you say you 'used AC flush', does that also mean that you evacuated (sucked) everything out? Also, you should evacuated the system whenever the system is exposed such as a new evaporator before adding the freon.
