pulled the fuel filter cap last night, pulled the filter, and there was like a quarter inch of black sludge build up on the bottom of the bowl. i DK/and q-tiped and wiped it all clean, but is that some what normal? or has it not been changed in a while? i got the truck last september, and have now put on about 13k miles on the engine sins iv had it.
i now have a new filter and gaskets in, followed the guzzle instructions, truck started fine.
Umm, sounds like it was never changed. I pull mine out and its all shiny inside, sometimes a little bit of sediment on the bottom i wipe out, but other than the my filters are even usally light brown when i change them. Is this first time you've changed your fuel filter?
ya, its my first time anyways. i took some pictures, but have yet to be able to make a gallery, or post any pictures. but i got it all cleaned out last night. the old filter was like a dark brown.
